The football world is abuzz with excitement as the Football Association (FA) has announced that Nigerian designer Olaolu Slawn has been selected to redesign the iconic FA Cup trophy.
Since its announcement, a lot of Nigerians have come out ot show support and congratulations to the designer. Surprisingly, the comments also included a lot of shock by Nigerians about how well he is getting deals.
Why were they shocked that he got this deal?
Most of their comments stemmed from how close his commision was to his last record breaking art sale. Olaolu Slawn just 5 days ago record a 55 million dollar sale on an art piece which got a lot of Nigerians talking. Although the commission price is undisclosed, the attention of Nigerians is probably due to that.
