Fave has announced the release date for her forthcoming EP, Dutty Love, as next Thursday, November 7, when it will become available on the major streaming platforms.
Fave is one of the most promising acts in African Music. She released her first record N.B.U. after dropping a viral cover on X. Her single Baby Riddim blew up across the continent and currently has over 60 million streams on Spotify.
Her first EP, Riddim 5 took her craft to a new level and established her as one of the best young acts in the game.
She has since collaborated with several acts in the game like Ajebo Hustlers, Simi, Soundz, Dope Caesar, Llona, Krizbeatz, Bloody Civilian, Tay Iwar and more. Her collaboration with Davido -Kante- on his Timeless album is a fan favourite.
She’s been nominated for and won a couple of awards. In 2022, she won Rookie of the Year at The Headies Award and was nominated for Most Promising Artist and Best Artist in African Reggae, Dancehall at the All Africa Music Awards. Moreover, she was nominated for Best New Artiste at the 2022 Soundcity MVP Awards Festival.
Although her career has seen her dabble around genres including dancehall, Afro pop, Afro beats, Dane, R & B, Fave largely considers herself a pop girl.
Her witty approach to writing focuses on vulnerability accompanied by vivid plots conveying a whirlwind of emotions often on groovy beat-drops or high-tempo drum progressions.
Her forthcoming EP promises to be an interesting ride, and it’s a journey we look forward to.
