
Fido issued an official statement regarding the removal of his hit song ‘Joy is Coming’ from the digital streaming platform Spotify.
As of February 20, 2025, Fido’s hit single “Joy Is Coming” has been removed from Spotify. The song, released on December 14, 2024, had achieved significant success, amassing over 21 million streams and maintaining a five-week tenure at the top of the TurnTable Top 100 chart.
The singer took to his social media page to release an official statement, he said: “Dear Oosha_FC, We want to take a moment to thank you for your love and support for Joy is Coming. We’ve noticed that the song has been temporarily unavailable on Spotify, and we sincerely apologize for any inconvenience this may have cause”
“Please rest assured that we are working tirelessly to resolve the issue ano ensure that the song returns as soon as possible. Your patience and continued support mean the world to us.”
“In the meantime, stay connected with us for updates, and we can’t wait for you to enjoy Joy is Coming again very soon!”
The removal has left fans and industry observers puzzled, as no official statement has been issued by Fido, his record label Oosha, or Spotify regarding the reasons behind this action. Despite its absence from Spotify, “Joy Is Coming” remains accessible on other major streaming platforms, including Apple Music, where it previously secured the number one position on the Nigeria Top 100 chart.
