Nigerian singer Fireboy DML is craving the kind of heartbreak that will inspire his next album.

The most impactful albums are those that forge a profound personal bond with the artist. Tracks that delve deep into personal experiences tend to resonate the strongest. Fireboy DML has revealed his upcoming plans in a recent post on social media. He has announced his intention to take a personal journey following the release of his upcoming fourth studio album.

In his post on social media Fireboy said “After this one, I’ll go on a vacation and try to find whoever’s gonna inspire the heartbreak album that will follow”. Fireboy has mentioned in an interview with Billboard Magazine that his fourth album is scheduled for release this year. However, details such as the album title, release date, tracklist, and featured artists are yet to be disclosed.

During the interview he disclosed his intention to venture into the acting world, signaling a new chapter in his career. The artist who attended the 66th Grammy Award Black Music Collectives Party spoke on his experience. Fireboy, Davido, Asake, Blaqbonez, Sarz, and other Nigerian artists were also in attendance. Speaking on his experience he said, “It was amazing. It was a brand-new experience for me. It was glamorous seeing all those people or those talents, you know, people that look up to. I saw Lenny Kravitz, I saw Jay-Z. Yeah, it was an amazing experience for me”.
