Recent reports and speculations have hinted at the first player exit from Man United under Ruben Amorim’s leadership in the 2025 transfer window.

Reports suggest that Man United are willing to part ways with Marcus Rashford during the January transfer window, setting his valuation at just £40 million ($51 million) thereby making him the first possible exit under the new head coach Ruben Amorim in the 2025 transfer window.

According to the Daily Mail, the club is not anticipating substantial bids for the England international but sees his sale as a priority. United need to offload players to comply with profit and sustainability regulations, and as a homegrown player, Rashford’s transfer would be considered pure profit on their financial records.

Rashford’s market value has plummeted due to underwhelming performances over the past two seasons. While Manchester United previously valued him at over £100 million, they now face diminished interest and lower offers. Should no suitable bids emerge, the club may consider alternative sales, including players like Alejandro Garnacho or Kobbie Mainoo.

Offloading Rashford would provide a financial lift for United, who are reportedly keen to move on from the 27-year-old amid concerns about his lifestyle and commitment. Rashford has scored four goals in 15 Premier League appearances in the 2024-25 season and has recently been benched in matches against Arsenal and Nottingham Forest.

A product of Manchester United’s youth academy, Rashford joined the club at the age of seven. He made an explosive first-team debut in February 2016, scoring twice against Midtjylland in the UEFA Europa League, followed by another brace in his Premier League debut against Arsenal just three days later.

He also found the net in his first Manchester derby, as well as on his EFL Cup and UEFA Champions League debuts. Over the years, Rashford has won an impressive collection of honors with United, including two FA Cups, two EFL Cups, the FA Community Shield, and the UEFA Europa League.
