Following the official confirmation of Dani Alves being out on bail, the football star who made the payment of one million dollars in bail fees has been revealed.

Sources reveal that Alves, a Brazilian former footballer, was unable to access the sum due to debts and frozen bank accounts. Depay, who developed a close relationship with Alves during their time at Barcelona in the 2021/22 season, provided one million euros to help his former teammate pay the bail to help his former teammate pay the bail.

Dani Alves has received a 4.5 years prison sentence after he was found guilty by the court of the rape of a 23-year-old woman in Barcelona in December 2023. The football star aside from paying the bail fee has been given a set of guidelines he must abide to following his bail period. He has seen his two passports confiscated as well as been handed a restraining order that will see him stay far from the victim.
