Pep Guardiola has responded to the burning questions on the mind of most Manchester City supporters as it concerns the 2025 January transfer window which opens in a couple of days.

The Manchester City boss was responding to a question he was asked after the disappointing result against Everton which was played on Thursday, December 26, 2024. According to Pep Guardiola, it is not always easy getting players during the winter transfer window because the club is looking for players who can stay long-term.

He said,

“Transfer market in winter is not easy. But we want players for the next three, four, five years. We are going to try because we cannot sustain for a long time to have so many players injured.”

Pep Guardiola has been on his worse run of games since he started his managerial career. Manchester City have dropped 12 points from winning positions in the Premier League this season, already more than they did in the entirety of last season ( 2023/24).

The Premier League Champions are currently seventh on the league table, five points behind the fourth place team and 14 points behind league leaders, Liverpool.
