HAKUNA PATATA, the eclectic music project led by the seasoned multi-instrumentalist and producer Bart, is excited to release the highly anticipated single, CHEZA CHEZA. This upbeat and playful love song is a collaboration between Doroh Kendy (Kenya) and Ray Solo (Zimbabwe), bringing together the infectious energy of soukous rhythms with the vibrant sounds of Swahili vocals. The track is now available on all major streaming platforms.

CHEZA CHEZA is a joyous celebration of life, love, and dance. The track opens with a Lingala intro, followed by the smooth Swahili vocals of Doroh Kendy and the rhythmic guitar work of Ray Solo. The fusion of these elements creates a lively and uplifting atmosphere that invites listeners to put on their dancing shoes and embrace the warmth of the African sun.

With over 40 years of musical experience, Bart has honed a passion for blending genres such as reggae, funk, cumbia, samba, rock, house, and particularly world music. His diverse approach to music-making has led to the creation of 12 unique projects under various artist names, with HAKUNA PATATA being one of his most vibrant expressions of this passion.

CHEZA CHEZA embodies the essence of African sound, with rich instrumentation that anchors the track’s cultural vibes. The joyful harmonies and solid hook work seamlessly to create a feel-good energy that resonates with listeners. The blend of souksous rhythms and heartfelt vocals gives the song a lively pulse that’s impossible to resist.

“I’ve always been open to experimenting with different musical styles, and CHEZA CHEZA is the result of that creative freedom,” says Bart. “Collaborating with Doroh Kendy and Ray Solo was a beautiful experience, and together, we’ve crafted something that celebrates African culture and universal love through music.”
