The social media clash between Seun Kuti and Aisha Yesufu seems far from over. In various trending videos, the Afrobeats artist and the political activist exchanged harsh words.
News previously reported that Seun advised Aisha to remove her Hijab before discussing the liberation of Nigerian women. In response, Aisha posted a video where she criticized Seun, stating that she wouldn’t let him intimidate her. She also claimed she could defeat him and dismissed his music career.
“Seun, I for break every bone wey dey your body,” Aisha said in part.
In a video, the singer talked about how he met Aisha on a TV show, where actress Kate Henshaw was also present. Seun mentioned that he had to sit next to Aisha and deal with her smell for two hours during the show. Their conversation began when she pointed out that he hadn’t achieved the same success as American music mogul Jay Z. Seun argued that the private sector should be accountable for the economy’s condition.
He said, “We were discussing politics, and I said the private sector should be held responsible. She said I am not a capitalist like Jay Z because I never blow and I ask her when are you going account to Obideints.”
