The House of Freedom is thrilled to announce the launch of the Rising Stars Gospel Talent Hunt through a press conference held at This Present House, Freedom Way, Lekki on Monday 17th February 2025.
The Rising Stars is an exciting initiative designed to discover and nurture the next generation of gospel music talents. Scheduled to take place over a 12 – 16-week period, this talent hunt promises to showcase the incredible musical gifts within our communities and provide a platform for emerging gospel artists to shine.
The Press conference featured gentlemen and ladies of the press across various media houses who engaged the team at the conference across various key areas.
About the Rising Stars Gospel Talent HuntThe Rising Stars Gospel Talent Hunt is more than just a competition; it is a celebration of faith, music, and community. This initiative was born out of Dr. Tony Rapu’s desire to uncover hidden talents and provide them with the opportunity to reach new heights. The talent hunt is open to participants from all backgrounds who share a passion for gospel music and are eager to showcase their talents irrespective of race, colour and background.
Event Structure and Key StagesThe competition will be structured into several stages:– Online Auditions: Participants will share a 1-minute video of them singing their favorite Nigerian gospel song, post it on their Instagram page and tag us @hof_talenthunt and they will report it, videos with the highest engagements, likes, comments and much more will be invited to the physical auditions.
– Physical Auditions: Participants will showcase their vocal abilities and stage presence to a panel of experienced judges to make it to the top 20.– Quarter- Finals: Selected top 20 Participants will make it to quarter finals to be selected amongst top 10 for the semi-finals.–Semi-Finals: Selected participants will advance to the semi-finals, where they will compete amongst themselve to get a spot at the top 5 at a live show.– Grand Finale: The top 5 contestants will battle it out in the grand finale for a chance to win incredible prizes and other amazing opportunities.
Prizes and OpportunitiesWinners of the Rising Stars Gospel Talent Hunt will receive a range of exciting prizes, including cash awards, recording contracts, and the chance to perform at major gospel events. Judging and MentorshipTo ensure fairness and transparency, the judging process will be overseen by a panel of esteemed judges, including notable gospel artists like Mike Abdul, Tosin Martins and Lala, music producers, and industry experts. Auditors from HOF music board will also be involved to maintain the integrity of the competition. Mentorship and guidance from experienced professionals will be provided to help participants hone their skills and navigate the music industry.
Community and ImpactThe Rising Stars Gospel Talent Hunt aims to make a positive impact on the gospel music community by promoting fresh talent and providing a platform for artistic expression. The initiative emphasizes community building, spiritual growth, and the development of leadership skills among young artists.
