In a video posted on his Instagram this morning, VDM Replies Falz, stating that he had a phone conversation with Falz on Wednesday where he clarified that he never defamed the rapper.
Social critic Very Dark Man (VDM) has responded to the letter released by rapper Falz through his lawyers on Wednesday, September 26, demanding an apology and retraction of statements VDM made regarding an alleged audio clip of Bobrisky. In the clip, Bobrisky claimed that he contacted Falz and his father, Femi Falana, to help secure a presidential pardon for him.
He mentioned to Falz that since he is also a lawyer, he wouldn’t need to pay another lawyer to represent him in court. VDM Replies Falz, saying he stood by his claim that there was no defamation involved. He told Falz, “I will see you in court,” reiterating his confidence in his stance.
Speaking further, VDM Replies Falz:
“I did not read what Falz posted until later, and when I finally did, I said, wait a minute. Bobrisky is saying that the voice call was fake, and now Falz is confirming they had a call. The only difference is, Falz says Bobrisky called him, while Bobrisky claims Falz was the one who called. Falz says Bobrisky asked him for N3 million, but Bobrisky says Falz told him to pay N10 million to his father, a lawyer.”
VDM Replies Falz by expressing surprise at Falz’s actions. “What I expected Falz to do, instead of addressing that letter to me, was to direct it to Bobrisky, requesting him to clear your name from that voice call. Not coming for me—I wasn’t the one in the recording.”
He explained that his purpose for posting the audio was to “expose the corruption that Bobrisky used his mouth to admit.” VDM emphasized that Bobrisky claimed he was taken to a private lodge instead of prison, and that the EFCC had collected N15 million from him to drop money laundering charges. “Instead of addressing me, Falz should have directed his letter to Bobrisky, who is dragging his name into this.”
VDM also clarified once again, VDM Replies Falz, stating, “I did not defame Falz or Uncle Femi Falana.” He concluded by questioning how Bobrisky was even able to make phone calls while inside the prison.
