I Never Tried To Insult Wizkid – Sabinus

Popular skitmaker Sabinus has issued a public apology to fans of famous Afrobeats singer Wizkid.

This is coming after he faced backlash over a recent remark that was widely deemed disrespectful.

Reacting via a live broadcast, Sabinus revealed that his words were clearly misunderstood because he meant no harm or disrespect toward the Grammy-winning artist.

According to him, since Burna Boy once gave him a major platform abroad that opened several doors for him, he cannot wake up one day and decide to disrespect another iconic figure in the music industry.

“I wasn’t trying to insult Wizkid. What I said was taken out of context. I would never speak badly about a legend like him,” he said.

The comedian further noted that he has already shared his written apologies across his social media accounts, and he needs Wizkid FC to forgive him.

During the broadcast, some fans demanded he kneel as a sign of remorse, and Sabinus complied, once again expressing deep regret for the misunderstanding.

His apology comes after an identical incident involving fellow comedian Carter Efe, who recently lost access to his Instagram and TikTok accounts after insulting Wizkid during a live stream.

Wizkid FC had immediately reported both social media pages, and it eventually led to their suspension.
