In episode 2 of The Real Housewives of Lagos, Dabota Lawson revealed her reasons for not wanting a close relationship with the Ikeji’s following an incident where the paternity of her child was challenged in a piece written by Laura’s sister.
“I never want to cross anyone like that again in my life,” she said. She emphasized how difficult it was to face the pressure for the piece posted about her daughter while empathizing with what Carolyna had faced during her share of intense public scrutiny.
“You impressed me with your apology to Laura, but I expected a better response from Laura,” she disclosed. She confessed that she was expecting a more emotional response from Laura as opposed to the unmoved gesture given. On the other hand, Carolyna did not care for her response. ‘’Whether she apologizes or not, it is up to her. For me, it was a healing moment,’’ she added. Carolyna further explained that her apology stemmed from her upbringing and a deep-seated belief in the importance of owning one’s mistakes.
She also acknowledged that Laura likely wanted to move on from the incident and focus on her family.
