Nollywood actress Ini Edo has made headlines by declaring that she has no plans to remarry, despite recent speculation fueled by a viral video of her in a traditional Efik bridal outfit. In a recent interview, the mother-of-one clarified her stance on marriage, emphasizing that her focus is on cultivating healthy relationships rather than seeking a wedding.
“I’m not crazy about marriage; I’m crazy about having a solid relationship,” Ini Edo stated firmly. “Marriage is not something I’m hoping for, and it’s definitely not one of my prayer points.”
The actress, who was previously married to Nigerian-American businessman Philip Ehiagwina in 2008, experienced a highly publicized divorce in 2014. The split was marred by controversy and speculation, leading Ini to take to social media to address the rumors surrounding her marriage, particularly accusations of infidelity.
Addressing her past, she said, “Let me be frank with you, I have not spoken with anybody concerning the breakup of my marriage. I’m not going to say anything about it. It’s my past, and I have put it where it belongs.” She added, “I don’t care whatever people might have said or written as the cause of the breakup; that’s their business. This is my private life, and I’d appreciate some space.”
