Nigerian singer and rapper, Raoul John Njeng-Njeng better known as Skales blows hot has he responded to a social media user who said Burna Boy revived his career.
The controversy started when an overzealous fan commented on one of Skales’ posts, calling his career “dead” and attributing its resurgence to Burna Boy’s involvement.
The fan said:
“This is the more reason why everyone hates you mf. Burnaboy was part of the people that helped your dead career.”
In response, Skales dismissed the claim, emphasizing that the Grammy winner did not contribute to his success.
In his words:
“Listen I will defend myself always, I love Burna but don’t you ever say he helped me. No one helped me! Only my fans and God’s grace. We do collabo wey all of us benefit from. If the thing no benefit us, we no go dey perform for our different sets.”
