Before we dive into Season 2 of “The Smart Money Woman,” let’s hit pause for a quick refresher on Season 1. Whether you need a recap or just a little memory jog, it’s worth catching up on how things left off with our favourite squad.
In Season 2, we pick up with Zuri, Tami, Adesuwa, Lara, and Ladun over a year after the events of last season. Zuri’s come a long way with her finances and is in a much better place. Her relationship with Tsola? Stronger than ever. Adesuwa is learning to navigate co-parenting S.J. with Soji after their separation, while Lara is doing her best to stay positive with her mum’s health struggles and mounting medical bills. Ladun has relocated to Canada with Bode and the kids, chasing greener pastures and a new job. And Tami? She’s tackling the tough realities of being a creative entrepreneur in Nigeria. As for the girls together, they’ve got big plans—they’re about to make a serious investment as a team.
The first episode kicks off with the girls at a beach party hosted by Tami’s cousin, Demi. Lara’s feeling the pressure with work and her mum, but it’s clear the squad is there for each other, ready for whatever comes next.
Then in episode 2, things get intense. As Lara faces the emotional and financial toll of planning her mother’s funeral, Zuri, Tami, and Adesuwa show up for her—covering bills and supporting her through family drama that surfaces during this tough time. Meanwhile, Zuri’s under pressure at work to secure a high-profile property, and Adesuwa finds herself entangled in more of Soji’s financial mess, leaving her blacklisted from bank loans. Tami, on the other hand, races to launch Irawo’s new collection.
With each episode, the stakes get higher, and the support between these friends grows even stronger.
