Jesse Clegg’s back, this time with a song dripping in feel-good indie vibes. With a driving beat and classic synth touches, “Hurricane” makes for a strong departure from his previous sound, and that’s exactly why we’re interested.
He’s calling it “a new chapter in his musical journey… a song about resilience, about standing firm in the face of adversity and knowing that, no matter what, we have the power within ourselves to navigate through it,” says Clegg.
Think hurricane, think tidal wave, avalanche, sinking sand – all this to convey an angst that nobody can really explain, but one we’ve all felt at some point in our lives.
The track is accompanied by a sweet music video featuring the Jeppe Girls Choir. “Working with eighty talented choir members from Jeppe brings moments of gospel-inspired harmony,” says Clegg. “They have an amazing energy and I loved every minute of working with them.”
Co-written and produced by Nick Petricca from Walk the Moon, Clegg’s ability to blend personal storytelling into his music is inspiring, and he gives it to us in waves on this introspective offering.
