Nigerian singer and songwriter Joeboy, also known as Joseph Akinwale, has proudly announced Kvng Vidarr as the first artist to join Joeboy’s Record Label, Young Legend. Sharing his enthusiasm on Instagram, Joeboy wrote:
“Super excited to announce our first talent under Young Legend! Welcome to the family, @kvngvidarr.”

Kvng Vidarr, whose real name is Momoh Oshiotseameh Luke, is originally from Edo State and grew up in Ikorodu, Lagos. Earlier this year, Joeboy left his previous label, emPawa Africa, founded by Mr Eazi, and launched Joeboy’s Record Label, Young Legend. This transition marked what Joeboy called “the dawn of a new era,” which he shared in a personal documentary. Joeboy also signed a distribution deal with Warner Music, bringing global reach to music from Joeboy’s Record Label.
Akinwale has earned several awards for his work, including ‘Best Artiste in African Pop’ at the All Africa Music Awards (AFRIMA) in 2019 and ‘Best Pop’ at the Soundcity MVP Awards Festival in 2020. In November 2023, he released the 5-track EP Body, Soul & Spirit. Joeboy has expressed that meeting the superstar Wizkid inspired his confidence in the music industry. In March, he announced his plans to release an album this year.
