Man United have reportedly received an unexpected bid to sign Mason Greenwood in the June 2024 transfer window.
Reports have surfaced indicating that Olympique Marseille is keen on acquiring Man United’s Mason Greenwood in the June 2024 transfer window. According to media outlets, Marseille have intensified its efforts, submitting a formal bid to secure the young star’s services.
With one year remaining on his contract with Manchester United, it appears unlikely that the Red Devils will retain him.
Greenwood, who captained England once and impressed during his loan spell at La Liga side Getafe last season, winning their Player of the Year award, is now attracting interest from major European clubs. Juventus, Lazio, Valencia, Barcelona, and Borussia Dortmund are all reportedly interested in the talented forward.
Marseille, a giant in Ligue 1, is currently managed by former Brighton boss Roberto De Zerbi. They are part of the scramble for Greenwood’s signature. According to football journalist Fabrizio Romano, Marseille has made a formal bid for Greenwood, and negotiations between the two clubs are ongoing.
Romano stated, “Understand Olympique Marseille have sent a formal bid to Manchester United for Mason Greenwood. Talks are underway between the two clubs. Greenwood remains OM’s main target, with an agreement getting closer. Manchester United is open to a loan with an obligation to buy, including a sell-on clause.”
