A bitter public feud has erupted between two prominent Nigerian musicians, KCee and Flavour, following the release of KCee’s latest song, which bears striking similarities to Flavour’s hit track Doings.

The controversy began when Flavour took to his X page, posting a cryptic message that seemed to accuse KCee of copying his style. “Copy copy akaria,” Flavour wrote, without directly mentioning KCee’s name.

However, KCee swiftly interpreted the comment as a personal attack and unleashed a scathing response on his X page. In a series of passionate posts igniting a feud, KCee asserted that Igbo music is not Flavour’s exclusive domain and warned him to “pick his battles carefully.”

Additionally, KCee emphasized that he has been a major player in the music industry long before Flavour’s rise to fame and refused to apologize for celebrating their shared cultural heritage.

“I’ve been in this game before you,” KCee declared. “You don’t own this genre of music. My music celebrates our heritage, and I won’t apologize. Spend your energy on success, not diminishing mine.”

Also, KCee cautioned Flavour against attempting to “gatekeep” Igbo culture, stressing that it belongs to all and not just one individual.

Meanwhile, the heated exchange has sparked intense debate among music fans. Many are weighing in on social media to share their opinions on the matter.

As at the time of this report, Flavour is yet to respond to KCee’s comments.

Lastly, as the feud continues to unfold, fans and industry observers alike will be watching closely to see how these two musical heavyweights resolve their differences.
