Kendrick Lamar continues his historic run in 2025, setting yet another milestone as his explosive hit “Not Like Us” becomes officially eligible for Diamond certification by the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA).
The scathing diss track widely recognized as a lyrical shot at fellow rapper Drake has now surpassed 10 million units sold in the U.S., making it the fastest rap song of the decade to hit that mark. Though the RIAA has not yet issued the certification, the eligibility alone marks a major moment for Lamar and the genre.
The achievement adds to what has been a record-breaking season for Kendrick. In the past two weeks alone: His “Grand National Tour” with SZA became the highest-grossing joint tour in music history, His album GNX reached a new milestone as the longest-running No. 1 on Billboard’s Top Rap Albums chart, and his single “luther” broke records as the longest-running No. 1 on the Hot Rap Songs chart.
“Not Like Us” first exploded onto the charts in mid-2024 and wasted no time rewriting the streaming record books. It quickly became the fastest song to hit 300 million streams on Spotify, and earlier this year, it was crowned the longest-charting rap song on the Billboard Hot 100
