Kenyan rap kingpin Khaligraph Jones is spitting fire online, accusing haters of sabotaging his much-anticipated Instagram Live with American rap legend Rick Ross.
The planned stream, which had fans buzzing, was abruptly nixed after Jones’ account reportedly got disabled due to mass reporting. This potential career booster for Jones involved going live with Rick Ross, a titan in the US hip-hop scene. Rick Ross had held similar Instagram sessions with other African artists, having previously connected with South Africa’s Nasty C and Nigeria’s Odumodublvck.
Hence, Jones took to social media, fuming about the alleged sabotage and blaming “jealousy” for the account suspension. Fans echoed his frustration online, urging Instagram to investigate.
Not surprisingly, Social media sabotage targeting African celebrities is a growing concern. This incident, if confirmed, would raise serious questions about online abuse and the need for stricter protection for users. Khaligraph Jones, meanwhile, vowed to reschedule the Rick Ross livestream, assuring fans, “Next time, we get to do it again.”
