The manager of Ipswich Town, Kieran McKenna, has agreed to a new four-year deal to stay at the club. This move has put an end to the speculation about his future.

Kieran McKenna’s future has been uncertain, with reports linking him to both Chelsea and Manchester United after he led Ipswich to the Premier League. The 38-year-old took over in December 2021 and guided Ipswich to back-to-back promotions, securing their place in the Premier League for the first time since 2002.

McKenna expressed his pride in signing the new contract, stating,

“I am extremely proud to have signed a new contract with the club. We have enjoyed incredible success together over the last two seasons, and I’m excited to have the opportunity and responsibility of leading this fantastic club into its first season in the Premier League in 22 years. I am so happy to have committed my future to taking the next step with Ipswich Town and am excited for what’s ahead as we continue this journey together.”

Before managing Ipswich, McKenna held academy roles at Tottenham Hotspur and Manchester United, he was part of the first-team coaching staff at Old Trafford under Jose Mourinho and Ralf Rangnick.

He guided Ipswich to a second-place finish in League One in his first full season in charge, earning them promotion to the Championship. This season, he amassed 96 points, securing the club’s return to the Premier League for the first time in 23 years.
