Ghanaian rapper, Kwaw Kese has sparked controversy with his recent social media posts, taking aim at his colleague, Shatta Wale and commenting on the current state of the Ghanaian music scene.

The rift between the two musicians, which dates back to their hit collaboration Allo in 2017, resurfaced as Kwaw Kese used social media as a platform to express his sentiments. In a post and accompanying video on Sunday, February 18, 2024, Kwaw Kese did not hold back in criticizing Shatta Wale, particularly for his recent collaboration with Portable following an interview at 3 Music TV where Shatta Wale had criticized Stonebwoy’s approach to music and business collaborations.

Taking a swipe at Shatta Wale’s fashion sense, Kwaw Kese questioned why some Ghanaian artists dress as if they live in Alaska, referring to Shatta Wale’s choice of attire in his recent interview. The multiple award-winning rapper’s remarks drew attention to the ongoing tension between the two artists.

In the accompanying video, Kwaw Kese lauded the recent successes of other Ghanaian artists such as Kuami Eugene and Kwesi Arthur, suggesting that Shatta Wale’s controversial persona had led to him falling off the radar in comparison.

Additionally, Kwaw Kese highlighted Stonebwoy’s international achievements, drawing a comparison between his trajectory and that of Shatta Wale. This comparison further fueled discussions among fans about the current landscape of Ghanaian music and the evolving dynamics within the industry.

As Kwaw Kese’s comments continue to circulate on social media platforms, they serve as a reflection of the ongoing rivalries and shifting perceptions within the Ghanaian music scene, keeping fans and followers engaged in the discourse surrounding their favorite artists.
