Nigerian rapper, Ladipoe has clarified recent rumors, firmly denying claims that he was throwing shade at industry heavyweight, Wizkid.
The controversy began when Ladipoe responded to statements from Wizkid, which some perceived as disrespectful. The rapper had previously stated that the Grammy winning artist had never musically inspired him.
In an interview on Cool FM on Thursday, May 30, 2024, Ladipoe addressed the narrative from fans and Wizkid FC, asserting that his comments were misunderstood.
He explained that his tweet, was intended as a joke aimed at his audience, not as an insult to Wizkid.
“I wasn’t shading Wizkid with what I said. Twitter is a funny place for me, my tweet was more like a joke and it was aimed at the audience”
