Emerging from London’s vibrant music scene, Swedish-American artist Lexi Berg is back with her new single “Bermuda Triangle”, a soul-stirring piano ballad that marks a bold departure from her previous folk-inspired work. The single, available now on all major streaming platforms, showcases Berg’s exceptional vocal range while diving deep into themes of isolation and human connection.
Co-written with hitmakers Jim Eliot (Ellie Goulding, Kylie Minogue) and Grammy award-winning Jimmy Hogarth (Sia, Duffy), Bermuda Triangle strikes a contrast to Lexi’s previous work. Where Lonely Satellite focused on folk elements, Bermuda Triangle leans into a raw, intimate piano-driven sound. The song’s soulful vocal performance, combined with its lush melodies, sets an emotional tone that invites deep reflection.
Lexi’s vocal play in Bermuda Triangle is just beautiful, beginning with a soulful touch that seamlessly guides listeners into the song. Her delivery of the high notes is balanced and powerful without being over the top, allowing the song’s emotional core to shine through. The lyrics are deeply metaphorical, weaving together themes of being unseen, unheard, and lost, much like the song’s namesake. Her performance brings out these sentiments beautifully, making it a song perfect for moments of introspection or relaxation.
Since embarking on her journey as an independent artist, Lexi Berg has quickly garnered attention. Her previous single, Lonely Satellite, received widespread recognition, landing on major playlists such as Spotify’s New Music Friday UK & Sweden, Apple’s New Pop, and Deezer’s New Pop. It was also praised by Craig Charles on BBC Radio 6 and BBC Introducing, further solidifying her reputation as a rising star.
Lexi’s journey into music started young. Born in Stockholm, she grew up studying classical piano from the age of five. After being discovered by Faris Badwan of The Horrors, she released her debut single What If, which appeared in the Oscar-nominated film Pieces of a Woman. Since then, Lexi has collaborated with top producers, toured with Deacon Blue and The Howling Bells, and performed at iconic venues such as Ronnie Scott’s and festivals like Wilderness and the Isle of Wight.
In 2024, Lexi launched a jam night in London that evolved into a monthly residency at The Notting Hill Arts Club, further embedding herself within the city’s music community.
With Bermuda Triangle, Lexi Berg once again demonstrates her ability to craft music that resonates deeply with her audience, blending vulnerability with artistic strength. As she continues to evolve as an independent artist, she invites listeners on an emotional journey that promises more soulful moments to come.
