South African hip-hop artist Lolli Native is set to release his highly anticipated new single, ‘Bekumnandi’, featuring the legendary songwriter, rapper, and producer Yanga Chief. Scheduled for release on all major streaming platforms, this track promises to be a standout addition to summer playlists, combining nostalgic Kwaito elements with a modern, vibrant sound.

“This track means a lot to me,” says Lolli Native. “It’s a reflection of everything we’ve worked for, the joy of where we are right now, and where we’re heading. And I couldn’t be more excited to share that moment with Yanga Chief.”

The title ‘Bekumnandi’, which translates to “It was nice”, is more than just a song about good times. It reflects on the journey both artists have taken in the music industry, celebrating how far they’ve come while keeping their eyes on the future. With powerful lyrics like “I won’t forget where I come from”, Lolli Native and Yanga Chief pay homage to their roots, reminding fans of the importance of staying grounded while pursuing success.

Lolli Native, a proud advocate of Xhosa rap, has continuously made waves in the South African hip-hop scene by blending his cultural heritage with modern sounds. ‘Bekumnandi’ does just that, mixing the familiar rhythms of Kwaito with fresh hip-hop beats that are bound to get listeners moving. It’s not just a celebration of life—it’s a celebration of South African culture, bringing people together through music.

The catchy hook, “I’m here for a good time, not a long time,” perfectly encapsulates the track’s laid-back, fun energy. While Lolli Native and Yanga Chief reflect on their career journeys, they also encourage listeners to live in the moment, savoring every part of their personal and professional paths.

‘Bekumnandi’ is now available for streaming and download across all major platforms starting October 4, 2024. Fans can expect an anthem that is perfect for the summer season, blending introspection with carefree vibes that invite everyone to dance and reflect on their own journeys.
