Premier League champions, Man City in an official statement have confirmed their third player signing in the January 2025 transfer window.

Manchester City in their latest press release today confirmed that they finalized the signing of Eintracht Frankfurt striker Omar Marmoush making him their third signing of the January 2025 transfer window.

In an effort to bolster their squad following a challenging season, Pep Guardiola’s side has secured one of the Bundesliga’s standout forwards this year.

Marmoush has been in sensational form, netting 20 goals and providing 11 assists in just 24 appearances for Frankfurt. The Egypt international, who joined Eintracht from Wolfsburg on a free transfer in 2023, has taken his game to new heights this season.

The 25-year-old has signed a contract with City that runs until the summer of 2029. The transfer fee is reported to be €75 million, with an additional €5 million in potential bonuses.

What is Marmoush’s jersey number at Man City?

Marmoush will now compete with Erling Haaland for the lead role in City’s attack, as the club hopes his arrival will help revive their campaign.

The new signing Marmoush will wear the No. 7 jersey for the reigning Premier League champions, Man City according to reports.

Speaking on his transfer to the club Marmoush revealed, “This is a day I will never forget. To sign for Manchester City – one of the best teams in the world – is an amazing feeling. I am delighted, my family are so proud, and we are all very happy to be here in Manchester. With Pep, his technical staff and the world-class facilities here, players have everything they need to improve. That was really enticing for me when I had the chance to come here. And I cannot deny I also want to win trophies. City have been the most successful club in England for many, many years, so I know I am joining a winning environment and winning culture. I want to learn from the staff and my teammates, and I want to become a valued member of this winning team.”
