Andre Onana has bagged his first award in the Premier League following his move to Man United in June 2024 for his heroics in the month of April.

Cameroonian goalkeeper Andre Onana has been recognised for his heroics for the Red Devils as the shot-stopper bagged his first Premier League award for the best save of April 2024.

In the recent 1-1 draw with Burnley at Old Trafford, the Manchester United goalkeeper leapt to his left to deflect Lyle Foster’s header, showcasing remarkable agility and flexibility.

The impressive save earned applause from the home crowd, highlighting the Cameroonian keeper’s exceptional skills.

Who did Andre Onana beat in votes to win his first Premier League award?

Onana emerged victorious from a competitive shortlist that included saves by Alisson (Liverpool), Lukasz Fabianski (West Ham United), former Red Dean Henderson (Crystal Palace), Arijanet Muric (Burnley), and Matz Sels (Nottingham Forest).

The decision was reached through a combination of fan votes and input from a panel of experts.

What’s next?

Andre Onana would be looking to play a huge role in halting Arsenal’s Premier League campaign this weekend as he would be in goal for Man United in the must-win Premier League showdown this weekend.

Man United would be looking to secure European football and the Cameroonian goalkeeper whose signing has been questioned over and over again would be looking to prove doubters wrong.
