Mariah Carey is set to return with her 16th studio album, Here For It All, arriving September 26, 2025.
Mariah Carey is back to claim her throne. The global superstar has officially announced the release of her 16th studio album titled Here For It All, set to drop on September 26 via her label imprint, MARIAH/gamma.
Carey shared the news with fans through social media on Monday, July 21 unveiling a cinematic teaser that includes a snippet of the album’s title track. The 11-track body of work will feature the chart-topping lead single Type Dangerous and a second track titled Sugar Sweet, which she teased on July 19.
This marks Carey’s first full studio album since 2018’s critically acclaimed Caution, which debuted at No. 5 on the Billboard 200 and topped Rated R&B’s Best R&B Albums of 2018 list. Caution featured standout collaborations with Ty Dolla $ign, Blood Orange, Slick Rick, and Gunna, as well as memorable singles like GTFO and A No No.
In May 2024, Carey revisited her Caution ballad Portrait in a remix EP released as part of Audible’s Words + Music series. Reflecting on the song in a conversation with Variety, she revealed how it captured her emotional depth:
“It was really about the strong feelings that I had… To go from such a slow, very sad song to this uptempo, upbeat, still sad, because of the lyrical content, but much less sad because we whooped it up. I really, really enjoyed the whole process.”
That interview also hinted at what was to come, with Carey confirming she had begun writing and selecting songs for a new album.
Type Dangerous, produced and co-written by Anderson .Paak, debuted at No. 1 on Billboard’s R&B Digital Song Sales and R&B/Hip-Hop Digital Song Sales, while also entering multiple other charts including the Hot 100, Adult R&B Airplay, and Hot R&B Songs. Carey performed the single live for the first time during the 2025 BET Awards, where she received the Ultimate Icon Award, further solidifying her legacy.
She followed up with Type Dangerous – The Remixes on July 11, a four-track EP featuring heavyweight artists such as Busta Rhymes, Redman, Method Man, Big Sean, DJ Snake, and Brazilian pop star Luísa Sonza.
With the album, Here For It All, Mariah Carey is not just delivering new music—she’s affirming her timeless influence across generations, genres, and global charts.
