Chelsea Football Club has been focused on a project since new owners took over from Roman Abramovich in 2022 after the invasion of Russia in Ukraine.
The club’s manager, Mauricio Pochettino, has asked for patience from Chelsea supporters, explaining that the club is always striving to win football matches and that it’s a disappointing feeling when they don’t succeed.
He said,
“It’s clear that we want to win. We came here because of the project, but we also know that Chelsea’s history is to win. When you don’t win, like at Chelsea, you feel really, really disappointed. I need to be more cautious with my words. We have a young squad, and I need to adapt. The message was to improve this week. It’s not fair to judge players, but it’s really tough when you don’t have a fully fit squad. That’s not an excuse.”
Currently, Chelsea are in ninth place on the league table and are in the semi-finals of the FA Cup, where they are set to face Manchester City. However, supporters of the club are hoping that they can get back to winning ways in their remaining games of the season.
