Afrobeats star Emmanuel Adewale, better known as Mayorkun, has shed light on his current relationship with DMW boss, Davido, and shared personal updates about his love life.
Speaking in a recent interview on Arise News, the Certified Loner crooner revealed that his contract with Davido’s DMW Records officially ended about 3 to 4 years ago. However, he emphasized that despite no longer being signed to the label, his bond with Davido remains intact.
“My contract with DMW has been done for about 3 to 4 years, but I’m still with them. After this interview, the next person I’ll be seeing is Davido,” Mayorkun said, underlining that their relationship goes beyond music as he considers Davido and DMW family.
Mayorkun also announced that his upcoming project would be released under Sony Music, confirming he has been signed with the international label for the past three years since his exit from DMW.
In another revelation, the talented singer hinted at being off the singles market. When asked about his romantic life, Mayorkun confirmed he is currently in a relationship but prefers to keep details about his partner private for now.
“I am off the market. There’s no chance for any other girl. I won’t mention her name or give details now, but in due time, everyone will know her,” Mayorkun disclosed.
This follows past speculation linking the singer to reality TV star Dorathy Bachor after a viral video of the two cozying up at her birthday party. While fans speculated on a possible romance, neither party has confirmed nor denied the rumors.
