The quarter-final match between Arsenal and Bayern Munich was a thr that lived up to the expectations of football fans worldwide.

Both teams put on an entertaining performance, and the match was filled with a lot of drama. Arsenal opened the scoring with a goal from Bukayo Saka, but Bayern Munich quickly responded with two goals scored by Serge Gnarby and Harry Kane, which put them in the lead for most of the game.

However, Arteta’s special substitute, Trossard, scored the equalising goal, which leveled the playing field. The major highlight of the game was when Saka appeared to have tripped Manuel Neuer, which seem to a penalty in the eyes of the Arsenal supporters.

The Arsenal manager has reacted to the penalty incident, stating that he has not yet watched it again, but agrees with the official’s decision that it was not a penalty. He said,

“I haven’t seen it [again]. The officials said they checked it and it wasn’t a penalty. The decision is made. We can’t change it.”

He also spoke about his team’s performance against Bayern Munich at the Emirates Stadium. According to him, he is proud of his players and believes that they have a chance to win the game at the Allianz Arena.

He said,

“I am very proud. Now I sense the belief that we’re going to go to Munich and we’re going to have the chance to win it. I feel we’re going to be better in certain areas. That’s how we’re going to prepare it.”

Arsenal will play Bayern on Wednesday, April 17, 2024, as they aim to reach the semi-finals of the competition for the first time since 2006.
