In his latest interview, Mikel Arteta opened up about why Arsenal did not win the 2024/2025 Premier League title.

In a candid exchange with reporters, Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta revealed that injuries and red cards played a significant role in his team’s failure to secure the Premier League title in the 2024/2025 season.

When asked if injuries were a key factor in Arsenal’s campaign struggles, Arteta responded, “For sure. Red cards and injuries.”

The Gunners have faced a challenging season, with key players sidelined due to injuries and disciplinary issues affecting crucial matches. While the team showed resilience throughout the competition, setbacks in squad availability ultimately hindered their title charge.

Arsenal received as many as five red cards during the 2024/2025 Premier League season, making them the team with the highest number of dismissals in the league. The red cards received include:

Declan Rice – vs. Brighton & Hove Albion (49th minute)

Leandro Trossard – vs. Manchester City (45+8 minutes)

William Saliba – vs. Bournemouth (30th minute)

Myles Lewis-Skelly – vs. Wolverhampton Wanderers (43rd minute)

Myles Lewis-Skelly – vs. West Ham United (73rd minute)

Arteta and his team will now look ahead, hoping to strengthen the squad and bounce back stronger in the next campaign.
