Mixed reactions have trailed the absence of Asake at his highly anticipated Lungu Boy event held in Lagos on Wednesday.

Fans and music enthusiasts have taken to social media to express mixed reactions about the noticeable absence of Asake from his Lungu Boy-themed block party which was held in Lagos for fans in collaboration with Empire, Coca-Cola, Heineken, and Itel.

The event was a free event where fans enjoyed the best of food, music and culture as the singer had initially hosted such a themed party in London earlier. Fans have taken to social media to express what many can categorise as a mixed reaction following Asake’s absence from the event when many had expected him to make an appearance on the night.

Here are some of the reactions below:

Asake’s Lungu Boy Block Party is a free show with free food, haircut, skating, tattoo and drinks. It’s just for the fans to enjoy themselves, It was not stated anywhere that Asake would show up, so what’s the outrage for?

So basically Coke used his theme to host party, and him sef posted it knowing he no go show.. you can’t blame fans for expecting him to come, he showed up for the London edition and he ain’t have to perform…

I love Asake but this one no actually gel https://t.co/xZyX97nHOF
