Off his Evil Genius album, Mr. Eazi has released the music video for Orokoro featuring the indomitable Angelique Kidjo.
The Evil Genius album is a creative fusion of art and music with 16 tracks. Mr Eazi handpicked 13 talented artists from different African countries to harmonize the exquisite album seamlessly. Featured guest stars include Angelique Kidjo, Tekno, Efya, Whoisakin, Joeboy, and three-time Grammy winners Soweto Gospel Choir. Various skilled producers, including Kel-P, Knucks, Michael Brun from Haiti, Andre Vibez, Yung Willis, Nonso Amadi, and several others, collaborated to produce the album.
The talented artist shared a snippet of the visuals on social media in which he said the hit song resonates with his soul and is extremely special. He said, “This one is extremely special to me as it resonates with my soul. The official music video for OROKORO featuring @angeliquekidjo from The Evil Genius album is OUT NOW”.

The Nigerian artist and Beninese-French singer were captured on film amidst a vibrant, natural green landscape. The director, Thomas Leloup, infused the visuals with a palette of white, green, and yellow hues. The Yoruba term “Òròkórò” translating to “testimony” imbues the song with the meaning of being a testament to blessings and unwavering faith in a higher force. Orokoro explores a diverse musical spectrum, incorporating elements of Garage, Highlife, Afro-pop, and Ghana Bounce style.
The complete album offers a brilliantly designed and skillfully crafted sensory experience. As a component of the release strategy, Mr Eazi has been encouraging the audience to engage with the music and art through multi-sensory exhibition listening events.
