In the past week, Burna Boy and Davido have been trending for various reasons. Both artists have been the source of various online controversies. Online Activist Mr Macaroni was added into the mix.
In the past week, Davido’s aide by the name Lati has physically assaulted a fan for trying to get a picture with the artist. The aide apologized and compensated the fan. The assault drew the attention of various celebrities like online activist Mr macaroni who condemned the assault. Burna Boy also unprovoked started an online war with davido to which the latter has still not responded to to date. After heavy losses at the Grammy Awards, a 30BG fan launched an unprovoked attack on Burna Boy, labeling him an “ode” and mocking his failure to secure wins in four Grammy nominations.
Burna Boy further went on to call Davido a “pussy”. Davido has yet to respond. During the assault by Davido’s Aide online activist and content creator Mr Macaroni publicly condemned the act. On February 18, Mr Macaroni got into an argument with a Davido fan. The Fan complained that Mr. Macaroni is a Davido hater and questioned why the content creator did not react to a comment made by Burna Boy about veteran rapper Eedris Abdulkareem’s health condition.

Responding to the remark made by a Davido supporter, Mr. Macaroni emphasized his reluctance to engage in fanbase conflicts. He clarified that his earlier post regarding the assault of a Davido fan aimed to stand up for a fellow Nigerian facing bullying and unfair treatment. Mr. Macaroni further asserted his admiration for Davido, expressing doubt that the troll shared the same level of affection for the singer.
