Football enthusiasts in Nigeria are eagerly anticipating the quarterfinal showdown between Nigeria and Angola, scheduled for today, Friday, February 2, at 6pm.

The highly anticipated match will take place at the Stade Félix Houphouët-Boigny in Abidjan.

Adding a unique twist to the excitement, popular gospel singer, Nathaniel Bassey took to his X handle on Thursday, February 1, 2024, to share a vision he had about the upcoming match. In a tweet, Nathaniel hinted at a divine connection to the Super Eagles, expressing surprise at his focus on the football team during his prayers.

“Why am I praying and the next thing I’m seeing is about super eagles? And hey, it’s not as though I’m thinking about them o per se… I’ve not even told you what I saw …,” he wrote.

In a special message to the Super Eagles, Nathaniel Bassey urged the team not to squander goal-scoring opportunities against Angola. Sharing his dreams with his fans on X, the music minister offered prayers for the team’s success and cautioned against any reason for sorrow.

“Well, tomorrow we must take every chance that comes our way. It’s not the day to miss chances. I saw two people on the bench crying. May we not have cause to weep about the match and any of our players. If we have to weep, may it be for joy ooo. Amen. So it lifts the nation. It’s been tough lately,” He wrote.
