The Nigeria Football Federation has placed an advert for the job of the head coach of the Super Eagles of Nigeria via its official Facebook account.
The body governing football in Nigeria confirmed that they are looking for passionate and experienced coaches to replace Jose Peseiro who recently left the position. He left his role in March 2024 after guiding Nigeria to final of the Africa Cup of Nations final where they were edged out by hosts Ivory Coast.
The statement of the Nigerian FA confirmed that they are looking for a driven individual with “relevant coaching qualifications” and a “proven track record in leading teams at the elite level of football”. The deadline for the application is Tuesday, March 12, 2024.
The successful candidate will be tasked with inspiring the three-time AFCON champions to greater heights and also helping the nation to win a fourth continental crown. However, Nigerians will hope a new manager is appointed before the World Cup and AFCON qualifying games.
