Nominees for September 2024 Premier League goal of the month revealed

Here are the nominees for the premier league Goal of the Month award for the recently concluded game weeks of September 2024.

The Premier League has revealed eight finalists for the September 2024 Guinness Goal of the Month award. These nominees are players from different clubs who have scored amazing goals to help their club win, showcasing a range of stunning strikes.

7 goals from different strikers were nominated for the award, Newcastle United’s winger, Harvey Barnes was nominated for his pivotal goal in Newcastle’s 2-1 win against Wolves, Barnes’ goal showcased his quick thinking and precise finishing, while Aston Villa’s Jhon Duran was nominated for his powerful goal that helped Villa edge a thrilling 3-2 victory over Everton.

On the list is also Bryan Mbeumo’s outstanding goal for Brentford in their match against Spurs, Darwin Nunez’s strike was one of three goals that sealed a dominant 3-0 win for Liverpool over Bournemouth. Chelsea’s rising star, Cole Palmer’s cold finish against Brighton was nominated as well, Palmer completed his hat-trick in Chelsea’s 4-2 win over Brighton with a cool finish for his third and final goal.

Arsenal’s new signing, Riccardo Calafiori was also nominated for his goal in the tense battle against City. In a thrilling 2-2 draw with City, Calafiori’s goal made a significant contribution to Arsenal’s comeback.

With their outstanding finishes, James Justin of Leicester and Dwight McNeil of Everton complete the shortlist. Justin’s strike in the second half against Arsenal contributed to a closely contested 4-2 game​ and McNeil’s goal helped secure a 2-1 victory for Everton over Crystal Palace.
