Nigerian singer Harrysong has publicly embraced a polygamous lifestyle, sparking conversations about his personal beliefs and recent marital turmoil. In a bold Instagram post, the Reggae Blues hitmaker declared, “Not sorry I’m polygamous. Life should be happiness, freedom, and support, right?”
Harrysong’s declaration comes on the heels of his troubled marriage to estranged wife Alexer Peres. The couple, who wed in March 2021 and share two children, have been at the center of a highly publicized marital crisis since January 2024.
The drama began when a private WhatsApp chat between the two surfaced online, showing Harrysong allegedly asking his wife to abort a pregnancy. In the same exchange, Alexer accused the singer of maintaining multiple relationships outside of their marriage, a claim Harrysong dismissed, asserting that the women were “better than her.”
As the situation unraveled, Harrysong admitted that they were experiencing marital difficulties but pleaded for privacy from the public. Alexer, however, went on to share her side of the story, accusing Harrysong of both verbal and physical abuse.
The conflict escalated in May 2024, when Harrysong publicly accused Alexer of infidelity, claiming she became pregnant by another man while still married to him.
In the latest development, Alexer has declared herself “a free woman,” fueling speculation that their divorce is now finalized.
