Nigerian rapper Tochukwu Gbubemi Ojogwu, widely known as Odumodublvck, has publicly thrown his support behind Pastor Enoch Adeboye’s recent appeal for members of the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG) to contribute in “billions” towards church projects.
Adeboye’s request, made during a church service, stirred widespread debate online, with critics questioning the necessity and timing of such large-scale contributions. But in a post on his X (formerly Twitter) account, Odumodublvck said he saw nothing wrong with the appeal and would willingly make such a donation if he had the means.
“If I had ₦1bn, I would gladly hand it over to RCCG without hesitation,” the rapper wrote, stressing that giving to the church is a matter of personal conviction rather than compulsion.
“It is not by force to serve the Lord; they did not say that if you do not drop ₦1bn, you will not enter heaven. As for me and my household, we will continue to support the work of Christ shamelessly,” he added.
Odumodublvck further argued that donations play a practical role in sustaining church operations, a point he believes many critics fail to consider. His comments have since added fuel to the ongoing public conversation about faith, finances, and personal choice in religious giving.
IF I HAD A BILLION TO CONTRIBUTE TO THE RCCG I WILL DO IT AND EVEN MORE.
IT IS NOT BY FORCE TO SERVICE THE LORD
THEY DID NOT SAY IF YOU DO NOT DROP 1B YOU WILL NOT ENTER HEAVEN.
AS FOR ME AND MY HOUSEHOLD,WE WILL CONTINUE TO SUPPORT THE WORK OF CHRIST SHAMELESSLY NO MATTER…
