Olamide is officially back in album mode. The award-winning rapper and YBNL boss has just announced his 11th studio album, ‘Olamide‘, set to drop on June 3, 2025.

The announcement comes with an explosive lead single, “Kai”, featuring none other than Wizkid. The track, which blends Olamide’s street-hardened cadence with Wizkid’s smooth melodic touch.

With 17 tracks, the upcoming album will be Olamide’s lengthiest release since 2017’s Lagos Nawa. Known for fusing raw street vibes with polished Afrobeats production, Olamide’s newest effort is expected to further cement his legacy as one of Nigeria’s most versatile and influential artists.

However, his 2024 EP “Ikigai” with songs like Metaverse, Uptown Disco, Hello Habibi, stole the spotlight last year. Now, the stage is set for yet another classic project from the rap icon.

Since making his explosive debut with Rapsodi in 2011, Olamide has steadily built one of the most acclaimed and influential discographies in African music. Over the years, he has delivered a string of fan-favorite and chart-topping albums, including YBNL (2012), Baddest Guy Ever Liveth (2013), Street OT (2014), Eyan Mayweather (2015), The Glory (2016), and Lagos Nawa (2017). His evolution continued with standout projects like Carpe Diem (2020), UY Scuti (2021), Unruly (2023), and the genre-blending EP Ikigai / 生き甲斐 (Vol. 1) released in 2024, each showcasing his versatility and enduring relevance in the music scene.
