Oprah Winfrey is pushing back hard against viral misinformation tying her to embattled music mogul Sean “Diddy” Combs and his now-infamous parties — insisting the rumors are entirely false and fueled by artificial intelligence.
Speaking at the Good Soil Forum in Dallas, the media icon addressed head-on a wave of AI-generated images and online gossip falsely claiming she had been present at parties allegedly hosted by Diddy, who is currently under federal investigation for sex trafficking and other serious accusations.
“I have never been near a Puff party,” Winfrey stated emphatically, shutting down the claims with characteristic poise. “Anybody who knows me knows if there is a party, I’m the first one out.” She painted a contrasting picture of her real-life routine: quiet nights at home, curled up by the fire with her dogs. “That is not who I am,” she reiterated.
Winfrey also revealed she’s working closely with YouTube to remove doctored images and videos purporting to show her at Diddy’s gatherings, calling the ordeal “troubling and invasive.” The situation, she said, highlights a disturbing reality: how AI-generated content can be weaponized to spread lies at unprecedented speed.
Joining her onstage was Bishop T.D. Jakes, who also took a moment to address rumors implicating him. He acknowledged briefly visiting Diddy’s home once during a daytime birthday celebration, which he says lasted just 30 minutes — and was nowhere near the type of salacious event being speculated about online.
“I am almost 70 years old. What do I look like?” Jakes said with a chuckle. “I am a grandfather.”
Both Winfrey and Jakes condemned the toxic culture of online scandal-mongering, warning that the obsession with gossip and sensationalism is distracting the public from deeper, more meaningful issues.
