Brighton have confirmed the exit of Pervis Estupinan, who has completed his permanent move to Serie A club AC Milan.
The former Villarreal defender joined Brighton in 2022 for around £15 million as a direct replacement for Marc Cucurella. Over two seasons on the south coast, he made 104 appearances in all competitions, contributing five goals and 12 assists.
The 27-year-old debuted in a 2-0 win over West Ham United in August. He broke into the first team at the club under both Roberto De Zerbi and Fabian Hurzeler.
The defender made 34 Premier League appearances last season and was part of the squad that played in Europe for the first time in the club’s history in 2023/24.
How much did AC Milan pay for Pervis Estupinan?
The Serie A side has paid an initial €17.5 million (£15.1m) with a further €2.5 million (£2.1m) potentially due in performance-related add-ons.
Estupinan is Milan’s third major summer addition, following the arrivals of veteran midfielder Luka Modric, and Italy international Samuele Ricci.
