Renowned Nigerian rapper, Phyno, has shared his insights on the challenges of balancing music careers with marriage and its commitments.
In a recent episode of the In My Opinion podcast, Phyno described the music industry as “all-consuming” and “jealous,” requiring absolute dedication.
“Music basically is a jealous career…it takes all your time,” Phyno stated.
According to Phyno, the demands of the music industry often clash with the responsibilities of marriage, leading to a decline in many artists’ careers after tying the knot.
“Check everybody, statistically, I feel so [most celebrities’ careers crash when they get married],” he noted.
Also, Phyno emphasized that music requires drawing from life experiences, making it difficult for artists to maintain creativity while navigating marital ups and downs.
The rapper acknowledged that some artists manage to balance both, but emphasized the challenges.
