Controversial Nigerian street-hop singer, Habeeb Okikiola, popularly known as Portable, has captured public attention once again following his release from prison and a striking new look.
In a recent video shared on his social media pages, the singer appeared with a clean-shaven head, marking a significant shift from his usual flamboyant style. The video served as a public update on his release and included an emotional apology directed at Fuji legend Saheed Osupa.
Portable’s legal troubles began when Osupa’s management filed a lawsuit against him, citing alleged intellectual property infringement and defamatory conduct. The case, which led to Portable’s brief detention in Ilorin prison after he failed to meet his bail conditions, took an unexpected turn when Osupa withdrew the case.
Following his release, Portable expressed deep remorse in a heartfelt post, writing: “Alhamdulilahi for everything. Big thanks to all my lovers. Zazuu, I’m sorry for everything. If I do you bad, forgive me. Only God — I never see, ogo ni mi. God sent. God loves me. I love you all.”
In another post, the singer shared a photo of Saheed Osupa with a direct message of apology, “God bless you sir, I’m sorry Bami.”
The new look of Portable and public act of contrition have sparked conversations online, with fans and observers hopeful that this marks a new beginning for his often turbulent career.
