Controversial Nigerian singer, Portable, has announced an increase in his show performance fee just days after being granted bail following his recent legal troubles.
It would be recalled that the Zazoo Zeh crooner was recently embroiled in a legal battle after being accused of assaulting government officials. After pleading not guilty to the charges, he was granted bail in the sum of N2 million.
Following his release, Portable took to his Instagram page to declare a shift in focus, stating that he is now more interested in making money rather than getting into trouble. Portable also used the opportunity to announce an increase in his show appearance fee, revealing that he now charges N20 million per performance.
In his characteristic style, Portable emphasized that anyone who cannot meet his new fee should not bother reaching out for bookings. “Zazuu na money I dey look for, I no dey look for wahala again. If you get N20M for show, japa. As dog dey run, money dey go. DM for show bookings, I dey active,” he wrote.
The announcement has since sparked reactions among fans and industry observers, with many debating whether the singer’s new pricing is realistic in the current entertainment market.
