Controversial Nigerian singer, Habeeb Okikiola, popularly known as Portable, has expressed his desire to have a fearless and outspoken lawyer like Femi Falana (SAN) represent him in his ongoing legal battle.
The Zazu Zehh crooner is currently facing a dispute with the Ogun State government after officials sealed an uncompleted building of his hotel. Seeking legal support, Portable stated that Femi Falana is known for defending the people and prayed for a helper like the 66-year-old human rights lawyer to take up his case.
Following his statement, fans took to social media to react, reminding Portable of his history of turning against those who support him. Some humorously warned that if Falana ever represented him in court, the respected lawyer should brace himself for possible backlash from the singer later.
While it remains uncertain if Portable will secure legal representation from Falana or another top lawyer, the singer’s public appeal has once again drawn attention to his ongoing legal troubles.
