
Portable surrendered himself to police on Wednesday after being declared wanted by the Ogun State Police Command.
Controversial Nigerian singer Habeeb Okikiola, popularly known as Portable, has surrendered himself to the police after being declared wanted by the Ogun State Police Command.
The singer, who was declared wanted on Monday, February 17, 2025, turned himself in on Wednesday at the State Criminal Investigation Department (SCID) in Panti, Yaba, Lagos. He is currently being transported to Ogun State, where he will be handed over to the authorities for further investigation.
Portable had been wanted in connection with an alleged assault on three officials from the Ogun State Ministry of Physical Planning and Urban Development, Ota Zonal Office. The officials were reportedly attacked while carrying out their duties at Oke-Osa, Tigbo Ilu Ota, Ogun State.
Prior to surrendering, the singer had claimed on social media that he was undergoing treatment at the Federal Neuropsychiatric Hospital, Aro, Abeokuta. In a plea to the Ogun State Government and Nigerians, he referred to himself as a “madman” receiving medical attention.
With his surrender, Portable is now set to face questioning and possible legal proceedings regarding the allegations against him.
